“Give me a young man in whom there is something of the old and an old man with something of the young: guided so, a man may grow old in body but never in mind.”

Marcus Tullius Cicero

Who I am is what you get

“Experience” isn’t a dirty word

Thirty years - I say that proudly.

That’s how long I’ve worked as a marketing professional in a diverse range of industries, including financial services, publishing, internet, education and the performing arts. I have created and managed the development of marketing and communications materials for print, electronic and broadcast media. As a complete marketing professional, I offer expertise in marketing and communication plan development and implementation, brand and identity management, event organization and execution, and staff and vendor management.

How it all began

My first marketing boss told me that to succeed in this crazy (and it is) life, “You need to know and do it all.”

She was right.

I started as a writer and an editor, and acquired the skills and experience in the “allied trades” of graphic and web design, branding, research and more to become a full-service marketing professional.

What you get is what I’ve learned

And what I’ve learned is simply this: listen.

More often than not, people know what they want to say - they just need someone to whom to tell it. And that someone needs to listen, not hear. I take the time to understand what it is you are trying to accomplish - and why. Together, we can then work on the how, what, when and where.

Most importantly, that work is based on honesty and trust - in that you can trust that I will be honest with you. I will make recommendations based on my experience - if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be doing my job. Again, ultimately, you know what you want to say - and I’m here to make sure you’re heard
